Emma 22

Feel-good apartment in Merano

South Tyrol
From € 160,- p.n.
If you have visited Merano before, you will no doubt have noticed an elevated building with a fascinating façade overlooking Piazza Mazzini: this is the former Grand Hotel Emma. It is precisely where Franz Kafka once came to treat himself and write love letters from the sunny loggia that you will find this flat. The historic Grand Hotel Emma was built around 1907 and, in addition to Franz Kafka, hosted personalities such as Bela Bartok, Franz Defregger, Gertrud von Le Fort, Christian Morgenstern and many others.

Quietly located apartment Emma 22 is on the 3rd floor of the building. The apartment has a very spacious bedroom with a child size bed (2.0 x 2.0 meters). The vacation apartment was renovated from scratch and elegantly furnished in 2023. The city center of Merano can be reached in a few minutes on foot and the proximity to the train station or the bike path can be used to explore the Merano countryside in an uncomplicated way. The historic center of Merano with its arcades, restaurants and ice cream parlors invites you to spend relaxing hours there.
